Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse with added nutrients

Nutrient dense Hazelnut Chocolate Mousse with fresh strawberries and caramel bukinis. The kids are starting back at school tomorrow I wanted to give them a boost of nutrients and create a “treat” that would pack in a nutritional punch!! This mousse is Super delicious, creamy and is quick and easy to make. I added some Baobab powder and Mesquite powder. Baobab comes from the African”Tree of Life” and is high in fiber, antioxidants, natural multivitamin, rich in vitamin C and has 2 times the amount of calcium than regular milk. It’s a super food that can be used for sprinkling on yogurts or salads or added in smoothies and teas as well. Mesquite powder is rich in protein with significant quantities of calcium and magnesium. Both these powders are fabulous and brilliant for those who are dairy free or have allergies to dairy. With an avocado base for the mousse providing dietary fiber, vitamin K, copper, folate, vitamin B6, potassium, vitamin E, and vitamin C and the addition of banana making it smooth and Super creamy! I used raw cacao powder to create a rich chocolatey flavour that is also rich in antioxidants, magnesium and iron. I didn’t add any sweetener as I didn’t feel it needed it. I added some home made hazelnut butter to sway from the classic chocolate mousse.
To top off the mousse I added more strawberries, hazelnuts, bukinis and a piece of the amazing dark almond chocolate I received from a friend who visited Bali from Spain. Got to say this chocolate is Devine!!!The kids shared this delight and the glass was licked clean along with their spoons and lips! Not just for kids, this mousse can be enjoyed by all and believe me you will definitely want your own.
Lots of love.
